PCOS- Polycystic Ovary Syndrome this is a hormonal disease with a lot of consequences. This disease is common in women as per statistics 65% of women are suffering from this disorder. The cure of this disease is yet to be found but that doesn’t mean we can manage it. Pcos is a hormonal monster that causes various of problems. The most commonly found are weight gains. Women with PCOS find it harder to lose weight than women who don’t have this disorder.
The reason Why it is harder to lose weight with PCOS are:
1. The body goes into the Fat storing mode
Insulin in our body is responsible for producing the energy in our body. Insulin gets affected by the PCOS. A woman’s body produces a much higher amount of insulin which help which promotes in storing fat. Thus a body goes into the fat storing mode.
2. Hunger attack
When insulin is produced in a high amount it not only converts a woman’s body into fat storing house but also attacks hunger. Women who have PCOS experience sudden cravings and might also not feel full in spite of eating a proper meal.
3. Sleep Deprivation
Pcos can also affect your sleep. They can make you feel suffocated by causing a blockage in the airway which results in a lack of oxygen. this can result in high blood and sugar levels also.
What are the Ways you can manage both?
Managing PCOS and weight is actually very difficult but with following ways, you can at least prevent rapid weight gain.
The best way to control both of them is to exercise. Go workouts and walks, do yoga. The bottom line is that do any form of exercise it doesn’t matter what matters is that you must exercise.
- No skipping workouts
After working out regularly one is easily tempted to take a break from it. This is where your hard work goes off. If you have PCOS don’t skip your workout days rather do some light exercises.
- Eat fruits and vegetables more
Fruits and vegetables are rich in carbohydrate which pure in the form. Digesting carbohydrate in the form of fruits and vegetables is much more easier than in the processed form. It also nourishes the body with required nutrients.
- Avoid Beverages
If you are a regular drinker of cold drinks then you should immediately stop that. Intake of soft drinks once in a while won’t harm the body but the regular intake of it can do some serious damages.
So Folks, since we can’t cure this disease but at least we can manage it in some ways.
