Mission Mangal has gained a lot of appreciation from around the country. It shows an equal sense of patriotism, womanhood, and support. The film revolves around different female characters played by Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Tapsee Pannu, Kirti Kuhlhari and Vidya Balan. Each character had its own zing, however, most of the limelight was taken by the character played by Vidya Balan as Tara Shinde. She was playing the Project Director for Mission Mangal. The character has been beautifully played by her. Tara is shown playing different roles of a mother, a wife and a daughter in law along with a career woman who loves her job. But, still, I would not like to believe that she is a superwoman.
Superwoman is someone who can save the world. For me, Tara is no superwoman. She is like any one of us, who struggles to deal with an annoying husband, inlaws who need us and kids who do not listen. This is the story of each one of us. We start our days struggling with the household chores, where children however old they are will ask us about where everything in the world is kept. A husband who is born under the roof of the male patriarchal society will not move their ass from the sofa deeming its suppose to be a wife’s job until we yell on them. And, lastly, our loving maids who we love most of all to sail us through the mess that happens in the morning. Tara is shown doing all this in the morning.
She deals with the child issues and husband disagreements wisely. Although, we all have families who are supportive yet unsupportive at some point in time. As his son is shown following his friend’s footsteps by reading the Quran and choosing his lines. While she is shown praying to Ganpati before the launch of both the missions. So, each and every day of her life makes her so relatable to each one of us. Remember how we pray to our god before starting something new. Certainly we life by Tara Shinde each day. So either believes that we are superheroes or she is not.
