From the day when the baby is born, we take care of them, we change their diapers, we feed them when they are hungry, we play with them when they are crying, and this is what parenting is all about. You do every possible thing which is in your hand to take care of your babies. But parenting infants and parenting adult children are two different things.
When they start to grow, after years we teach them many things and help them to develop some skills which will help themselves when they are grownups. While doing this, we are somewhere insecure for things that won’t hurt them and we want them to be safe from the dangerous obstacles which at those small ages are unable to understand.
After a few years, all these start to vanish as they are now grown-ups, you are required to set them free and appreciate them at every step where they climb trees or mountains. Your appreciation as a parent matters the most. Directly or directly you keep your eyes on them to see whether they are safe or not. Whether they are taking care of the things which you taught them or not.
Before this age arrives, you are well trained and skilled parents who know how to handle your kids. But parenting adult children need some skills and talents to train them and to understand them better. Don’t stop them from doing mistakes. Everybody do many mistakes in life and stand up and learn from it. Let your children do the same. Let them learn from their mistakes so that they will be careful about things might go wrong in the future and will be prepared for it.
During the period of parenting adult children, you must keep a few things in mind so that you don’t make any mistake while growing them as a better person. Try to know their perspective, what is their point of view, what they are doing in their present life. While doing this, you force them to pay attention to you and in this way, you can grow your bond way stronger with each other.
