Being parents to this generation is the toughest job because things never go according to what we had planned. Parenting is one of those things which require patience, understanding, trust, teamwork and so on because growing a child needs all of this you cannot handle them with harsh behavior and scolding them every time. You need to grow them with love, care, and what they deserve. Parenting is a job that starts from the day when the baby is born, and it is a lifetime job. Parenting an infant from parenting an adult child, the cycle is never easy. You need a lot of patience to handle an adult child because they are grown up and can make decisions on their own.
Adult children think that they are now the bigger one and can do whatever they feel to do, and think everything they want is right in their picture but the truth is what you think every-time is not a picture that you should see. Sometimes you need someone to guide you for what is good and what is bad for you because parents know things better than you. But in some cases, parents are afraid to say anything to their children because of their aggressive nature, boldness, stubborn.
As once you were also in the same age where they are today, so you better understand what makes you think the way they are doing and what makes them feel to do things which they are doing, never try to prove them wrong instead tell them what can be better if they go this way or that way. This might build things up between you as well as they will stop and think about what you said to them. Because leaving them doing wrong is not the way of parenting an adult child.
Spend more and more time with your children, firstly try to be their friends so that they won’t hesitate to share things happening with or around them with you, you should know about your child’s lifestyle the things they are doing, with people they hangout, everything. And for this, you have to make your child feel comfortable with you. Show them, love, care for them, make them feel special whenever they come and tell you anything about them. Appreciate them when they do something big or small, as this will boost their confidence and self-esteem and will work on them even more.
