You are about to begin the journey of your pregnancy. It’s a beautiful journey of 9 months, but it also comes with its highs and lows.
Here are few tips for you to prepare yourself for a happy and healthy pregnancy:
- Prepare yourself for the Unknown
Every pregnancy is different. You can’t know how much change and effect it would have on you mentally and physically. But that’s okay. You can ask for advice. Hear other pregnancy stories, read pregnancy books to help you. Remember, you are growing a life inside you; it’s a miracle in itself. Embrace the feeling.
- Be ready for some major lifestyle changes
Late night parties, outings, working long hours, if this has been a big part of your lifestyle, then prepare yourself for some major changes. You will also have to cut back on your junk food caffeine intake and say NO to alcohol. Be sure you are ready to make these lifestyle changes before you decide to have a baby. Your pregnant body is going to require healthy foods and proper rest.
- Prepare yourself for bodily changes
You might be thinking, what’s there to prepare? I know I am going to have a big belly and gain pounds. But that’s not it. Pregnancy brings many hormonal changes in your body. You might suffer from morning sickness, dry skin, stretch marks, pimples, hair fall, swollen feet, to name a few. Don’t freak out due to any of this. It’s normal and very common in pregnancy. Consult your Gynecologist if anything bothers you too much.
